When working from home I suddenly saw men hanging on the outside of the windows of our appartment in Hong Kong. We live on the 25th floor so these guys had plenty of air under their feet. I suddenly realised that they must have climbed over the edge of the roof and repelled down. Perhaps I would be able to access the roof through an open door they had used.

I decided to give it a try. With camera and tripod I climbed the fire escape to the 28th floor. I was lucky... the door to the roof was open. I climbed out. The view was fantastic. Skyscrapers in all directions. Gray weather and very little humidity in the air was perfect for black and white shots. I spent 20 minutes snapping pictures in all directions. Then I heard the men hanging in ropes as they were climbing back to the roof. I decided to sneak back in through the fire escape to avoid beeing yelled at.
